With schools at various stages of opening many students in our community do not have the resources to continue their educational progression successfully while at home. Many families need a place for students to learn while parents and guardians are working.
Indianapolis Public Schools (IPS) are not currently able to return in person so they are doing remote learning and providing each student with a laptop to do their classes online.
What KIDS Inc is Doing About It!
KIDS Inc is in partnership with Shepherd Community Center to provide an e-Learning Site space in our building. Shepherd Community Center has partnered with us in various ways in the past. They are a faith-based, inner-city ministry that has operated on the near Eastside of Indianapolis since 1985.
The KIDS Inc e-Learning Hub program is completely free for families so their children can continue to remain on track academically while school buildings are closed.
Some Ways Our e-Learning Hub Can Help Families…
- Provide a safe and organized environment with adult supervision for school work while parents are at work
- Provide internet access
- Assistance with staying on task
- Assistance with the use of their device
- Provide free breakfast and lunch Monday – Friday
- Provide a social environment for children to cultivate good emotional and mental health
How Can You Be Involved and Help?
- Volunteer weekly to help students in the classroom
- Clean the spaces our students will use
- Serve meals
- Prayer for our e-Learning Program leaders, staff and students
- Financial support
- for additional staff

In light of this pandemic struggle KIDS Inc still exists to cultivate life-changing relationships that show the love of Jesus and multiply believers to glorify God. Our passion is to provide people and programs like our e-Learning Site to meet students’ immediate physical, social, emotional, and educational needs with the ultimate goal of Christ-redeemed lives.
