Hey there Friends!
As we’ve shared before, it’s a busy fall for KIDS Inc.! We have our regular programs going throughout the week, we’re starting new things, and we’re excited by what God is doing. As always, we’re deeply thankful for your involvement and support of KIDS Inc. Our students are hearing the hope of the gospel, feeling what it’s like to have someone invest in them, and experiencing a place where they are acknowledged and welcomed – and it couldn’t happen without your prayers and support.
The Need: A New Van
As fall moves on, we’re seeing what we’ll need in order to keep our ministry functioning. The biggest goal is a new van.
After our weekly programs, particularly our Friday night Hang Time, we try to give our students rides home. It saves them having to walk through potentially dangerous areas after dark, gives us a chance to spend more time talking and listening, and lets us show them we care about them. In addition, we need a vehicle for any special activities, like taking groups to sporting events, on retreats, and to camp each Summer.
The van we currently have is aging, has even broken down several times while transporting students, and is not safe to rely on. In order to keep serving our students the way we want to, we need a new van.
How You Can Help
We are looking for a new or gently-used 15-passenger van.
Newer models are built to be much safer than the older one we have, and would allow us to reliably offer students transportation as part of our programs.
To get a van, we need to raise between $30,000 and $40,000.
I am asking you to pray that the Lord would provide. Also, would you pray and ask if God would have you give financially so that we can purchase this new van.
